We’re looking for a rockstar Senior Manager - Contract Manufacturing to join our Supply Chain Team. This role will lead a team and work with our network of contract manufacturers to manage the inbound supply of finished goods and optimize inventory levels for the Enterprise. This role will be heavily involved in managing product launches. This role will work cross-functionally to problem solve, communicate and be the ‘go to’ for supply chain questions involving contract manufacturers . This is a hands-on role so the right candidate will be willing and able to jump in.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Closely monitor inventory levels, sales trends, and forecast changes to anticipate supply plan adjustments.
Monitor and expedite production schedules as required based on changes in inventory position
Own the product launch timeline from formulation lock to quality release. Be a key contributor in cross-functional meetings for product launches.
Work closely with Procurement, contract manufacturers and product development to ensure product launch timelines and cost targets are met.
Evaluate product pricing from contract manufacturers as well as for new items. Work with the Supply Chain Manager to report on pricing variability as changes occur.
Analyze forecast accuracy data to adjust production plans
Own reports relevant to contract manufacturing performance
Lead weekly calls with Key manufacturing partners
Support planning production requirements across multiple manufacturers based on forecast assumptions and inventory targets
Monitor at risk and short dating inventory to avoid OOS and mitigate write offs
Improve the vendor scorecard review process and lead discussions with vendors at regular intervals
Support contract manufacturing transition projects to new partners and/or internal manufacturing.
Core Attributes:
4+ years experience in production/demand planning, production management or similar role
Strong knowledge of food or supplement manufacturing preferred
Strong knowledge of Excel required (pivot tables,IF/Vlookup formulas, etc)
Great listener, strong communicator
Analytical and detail-oriented
Strong organizational and planning skills
