We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager in Technical Accounting to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of accounting principles, strong analytical skills, and the ability to effectively work with our business partners. This role requires a strategic thinker with a keen eye for detail who can navigate complex accounting issues and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

  • Lead the implementation and maintenance of accounting policies in accordance with U.S. GAAP. Provide technical accounting guidance and support for complex transactions including: revenue recognition, lease accounting, equity and other arrangements. Monitor and interpret new accounting pronouncements and assess their impact on the company's financial statements and operations
  • Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations. Develop and maintain internal controls over financial reporting to mitigate risk and ensure the integrity of financial data
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute the team’s goals and objectives. Provide insights and recommendations based on financial analysis to support business decision-making and accounting policies
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies related to financial reporting and accounting. Identify and mitigate potential risks to the organization through effective risk management practices. Stay current with industry trends and best practices to proactively address emerging accounting issues

About you

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification is required.
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in technical accounting. In-depth knowledge of U.S GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
  • Proven experience managing complex accounting issues and providing technical guidance
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior management
  • Proficiency in accounting software and advanced MS Excel skills; experience with NetSuite is a plus
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

- The US base salary range for this full-time position is $150,000 - $200,000 annually + equity + benefits
- Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location
