Job Description

Title: BD Campus Rep

Location: Various college campuses

Type: Performance-based compensation

Job Overview: As a BD Campus Rep for Claim, you will have the opportunity to represent Claim on your campus and in your community by engaging with businesses who may benefit from Claim’s services. Your goal is to introduce Claim’s marketing solution to fast casual restaurants and coffee shops, helping them understand how Claim can attract new customers and increase sales.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and engage prospects (i.e. fast casual restaurants, bakeries, and coffee/tea shops)

  • Encourage prospects to book a free consultation with Claim: https://www.claim.co/for-marketers

  • Maintain records of interactions and provide feedback to the Claim team

Compensation:

  • $50 for each meeting booked and held (Note: Claim will lead the meetings, your attendance is welcomed but completely optional)

  • $200 for each closed deal (i.e. signed partnership agreements) resulting from your booked meetings

Business Screening Criteria

  1. Business Type: We’re primarily interested in partnering with quick service restaurants, fast casual restaurants, bakeries, and coffee/tea shops.

  2. POS (Point of Sale) System: It is critical that the business has a POS system (i.e. Toast, Square) that accepts credit cards. Claim only works if credit card activity is detected (on the user side of the platform).

  3. Brand Alignment: Preference for businesses that deliver an elevated customer experience and campus favorites. This includes well-established brands and unique, single-location businesses and food trucks.

  4. Marketing Capability: The business should already have an established marketing budget and paid media strategy managed by a full-time or part-time marketing professional or agency.

How much money can I make as a BD Campus Rep?

Scenario: Taylor, a BD Campus Rep, successfully books and holds 3 meetings in a month. From these meetings:

  • 1 results in a closed deal (partnership agreement signed with Claim)

Earnings Breakdown:

  • Meeting Earnings: $150 (3 meetings x $50 each)

  • Deal Earnings: $200 (1 deal x $200 each)

  • Total Monthly Earnings: $350

Is this a full-time role?

No, this is a part-time role with flexible hours that you can manage around your class schedule (or summer plans). There is no daily (or weekly) minimum hourly commitment.

Is this an internship?

No, this is not an internship. There are not formal start and end dates and you will not be onboarded to Claim as a full-time employee (or intern).

Will I receive a Claim email address?

Because this is a part-time role, you will not be fully onboarded to Claim (i.e. receive a company email, corporate card).

How will I get paid?

Monthly payments will be issued via PayPal or Venmo.

How many BD Campus Reps are there?

As many as we can find! We don’t have a specific number in mind.

Do I need prior sales experience?

Helpful but not required. We’ll provide you with the resources and guidance you need to succeed.

What if I’m not comfortable with door to door sales?

While door to door sales can be an effective tactic, we know it’s not for everyone. You may find that cold emails or phone calls are just as effective.
