Job Summary

The Quality and Regulatory Compliance Manager is responsible for overseeing all day-to-day aspects of quality assurance and regulatory compliance within the company for Canadian NHPs/Food and US Dietary Supplements. This role involves managing team dynamics, ensuring effective communication across departments, and identifying and mitigating risks related to non-compliance and customer satisfaction. The Quality and Regulatory Compliance Manager will implement and maintain a robust Quality Management System (QMS), handle complaint management, and ensure continuous improvement initiatives. Additionally, this position requires keeping abreast of regulatory changes and ensuring compliance with various certifications and international regulations. The Quality and Regulatory Compliance Manager will also provide technical and compliance support to various departments, manage product registrations, and audit co-manufacturers to uphold the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Implements, reviews and manages a regulatory compliant, robust Quality Assurance (QA) program including a comprehensive Quality Management System (QMS), risk analysis and assessment, problem/failure reporting. Proactively identifying non-compliance risk.
• Manages complaint management system, including adverse event report, out of specifications, out of trends, CAPAs, deviations, change controls, and continuous improvement initiatives as corrective action and preventative action
• Manages the development and implementation of overall quality and compliance strategies for the co-manufacturing facilities, to attain/maintain certifications with US FDA, Halal Certification, Kosher Certification, Vegan Action
• Review claims, labeling, and ingredients on company assets and social media to ensure compliance with Canadian NHP/Food and US FDA regulations
• Audit and manage current co-manufacturers and 3PLs to ensure the highest quality and compliance to Goli and Health Authority regulations
• Provide technical, quality and compliance support to Co-Manufacturers, Marketing, Sales and Customer Service & Marketing Department
• Required Qualifications
• B.Sc. degree in food science, biochemistry, chemistry, biology, etc. 5+ years dietary supplement industry experience specializing in QA/QC and regulatory
• compliance of nutraceuticals, health food supplements and functional foods
• Experienced with interpretation and application of U.S. regulations (DSHEA, FDA, FTC),
• especially 21 CFR [Part111 & 117 (cGMP), Part 101 (including 101.36 & 101.93]
• Experience with interpretation and application of Canadian regulations (CFIA, CompetitionBureau, Natural Health Products Regulations, Trademark)What we Offer
