The Director, D2C & Inventory manages the supply chain of our D2C sales channels (Goli.com, Amazon FBA/FBM, TikTok, etc.) and inventory management. The individual is responsible for managing vendors relating to these aspects of the supply chain including: parcel couriers, warehouse/fulfillment centers, and order management system providers. The role is vital to ensuring our direct-to-consumer (D2C) customer metrics (on-time delivery, order accuracy, etc.) are optimized against the cost to deliver this service. In regard to inventory management, the individual is responsible for the accurate reporting of inventory across the supply chain and managing strategies to mitigate / reduce non-productive inventory and ensure accurate distribution of inventory across multiple sites. The individual leads our 3PL partners, the supply chain analyst and inventory management analyst team members to help carry out this duty.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Monitor D2C customer order and fulfillment dashboards to ensure orders are being processed timely and accurately daily
  • Collaborate with the customer service team to mitigate and resolve any customer complaints / issues
  • Support team members to resolve major order management and supply chain issues
  • Enable team members to be successful with their processes, projects, and development
  • Connect with vendors on a regular basis to understand supply chain nuances, partner on collaboration opportunity, and drive service performance
  • Build and maintain scorecards relating to D2C supply chain KPIs, cost optimization KPIs, and vendor SLA KPIs
  • Leverage scorecards to build KPI improvement action plans and enable leadership visibility into the D2C supply chain
  • Be a strong partner with the D2C business owner and marketing team to enable sales growth, and to communicate / resolve supply chain issues
  • Ensure inventory and shipment reports are published on-time and accurately
  • Leverage the inventory and shipment reports to influence production planning, flag slow-moving inventory and distribute inventory across the supply chain based on demand
  • Drive solutions to mitigate and clear out non-productive inventory
  • Work with the Supply Chain leadership team to build mid-to-long term (2-3 year) supply chain strategies and lead strategic initiatives
  • Collaborate with other cross-functional teams (Finance, Quality, B2B team, etc.) to drive process and KPI improvements
  • Invoice reconciliation for key supply chain vendors

TRAVEL

May be up to 5-10 % Travel (within North America).

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university (Business, Supply Chain, or technical degree preferred).
  • 5-7 years of similar supply chain experience in a CPG, retail, consulting, or other related setting
  • Experience managing and leading small teams
  • Experience building/managing relationship with supply chain vendors through site visits, business reviews and KPI scorecards
  • Experience managing D2C fulfillment supply chain (inventory, orders, shipments, returns, etc.) and systems (Shopify, Amazon SellerCentral, TikTok Shop, Dropstream, etc.)
  • Experience managing demand planning and inventory management reporting and processes
  • Experience using data analytics tools (excel, tableau, looker, BI, etc.) to run analysis and build scorecards to drive insights
  • Strong organizational, problem solving, strategic thinking, analytics skills
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Experience working with API/EDI integrations, WMS, ERP, and TMS systems is an asset
