Rowan's Senior Demand Planner builds, monitors, analyzes and reports essential changes to sales forecasts, business strategies, and budgets. They support company management with risk assessment and activities to help mitigate the sales and inventory risk and propose and implement solutions that accurately improve demand forecasts. The Senior Demand Planner creates and maintains forecasting models utilizing business intelligence and forecast data gathered from business functions/teams at various levels, horizons and time horizons.

What you'll be doing:

  • Develop demand / statistical forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons.
  • Maintain demand planning data and systems; prepare and maintain relevant material and reports.
  • Develop product mix forecasts as input for supply planning and work with management to fine-tune the product mix plan.
  • Business Analysis:
  • Analyze selling performance across ecom and stores
  • In-Season/Post-season business opportunity
  • WTD/MTD selling analysis and share with teams
  • QTD/STD selling hindsights
  • Top line sales and sales trends
  • Best and worst sellers styles and class if applicable
  • Assortment updates and learnings
  • Gather, prepare, analyze and validate forecast data; review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, summarize, aggregate and evaluate forecast results; develop statistical forecast models.
  • Work with Supply Chain team to monitor accurate inventory levels and replenish or mitigate over-coverage situations.
  • Work with I.T. for system enhancements as subject matter expert (SME) for all applications as relates to demand planning function
  • Develop, maintain, and continuously improve demand planning process

What you bring to the table:

  • 3-4 years’ experience in demand planning
  • Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics or Supply Chain
  • Strong applied math skills
  • Understanding of statistical modeling
  • Excellent database and Excel skills
  • Knowledge of Supply Chain Theory
  • Knowledge of inventory metrics
  • Ability to translate numbers and data into reliable insights
  • Strong Presentation skills
  • Extremely detail-oriented
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Powerpoint, Word, Netsuite)
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Analysis and problem-solving skills such as the ability to question, accurately identify a need, and present an effective solution
  • Time management skills

Compensation

  • The anticipated annual base salary for this position is $110,000 - 115,000.
