Who is Boulevard?

Boulevard provides the first and only client experience platform for appointment-based, self-care businesses. We empower our customers to give their clients more of the magical moments that matter most.

Before launching in 2016, our founders spent months interviewing salon managers and working behind front desks to understand their pain points so we could design a modern, user-friendly platform that meets the unique needs of their business. Our roots may be in hair salons, but we are built for the broader self-care industry, including many types of salons, spas, medspas, barbershops, and more. Our technology not only helps our customers survive but thrive. Take a look at how we (and YOU) can make that happen.

We have an insatiable curiosity and embrace experimentation. We believe that simple solutions require the most sophistication, and we design each and every detail to maximize potential, power, and impact. Do our values match? Read through our story and what we value the most.

Our team values and celebrates our diverse backgrounds. Being open about who we are and what we do allows us to do the best work of our lives. We believe in equal opportunity for all, and you should too.

Come do the best work of your life at Boulevard.

The Payments team is at the heart of the Boulevard Platform, playing a fundamental role due to its heavy reliance by our customers. Ensuring that the payment process is simple, flexible, and reliable is our key mission, as we aim to make the payment experience both effortless and dependable.

As a Senior Product Designer, your role is crucial in transforming the landscape of financial interactions in the self-care industry. You’ll be involved in a variety of projects that span the gamut from developing a new generation of payment hardware in collaboration with industrial designers, to integrating flexible payment solutions like 'Buy Now, Pay Later' options and contributing to the development of automated systems for disputing wrongful chargebacks.

In this role, you'll tackle complex and ambiguous challenges using the whole set of your skills including business acumen, product strategy, and design expertise to create holistic, lovable experiences. Collaborating closely with the Product and Engineering Leads, you will identify opportunities, experiment with innovative solutions, and drive the development of impactful and delightful user interfaces.

Currently, we are at a fun stage - big enough to provide you with a great deal of stability and an incredible work environment, but small enough that you can still have a huge direct impact on both our customers and our teams. As a part of a small design team you can shape design system, culture, norms, and expectations.

What you’ll do here:

  • Work with Product and Engineer leads to define a strategy, establish clear success metrics and tie efforts to delivering strategic outcomes.
  • Own the design process end-to-end: from requirements, research, and design, to testing and guiding implementation.
  • Transform complex problems into easy-to-understand user interfaces that deliver a delightful experience.
  • Work with other designers to expand our design system and raise the quality bar for our product and industry.
  • Contribute to the culture of a small and growing design team.

What you’ll need to thrive:

  • Product design experience at B2B or SaaS product companies.
  • Deep understanding of the end-to-end iterative design process including design research, journey mapping, content design, wire-framing, prototyping, user testing, and creating high-fidelity visuals.
  • Experience collaborating closely with other disciplines including product and engineering.
  • Maintaining a balance between creating great designs and continuously shipping.
  • Focus on outcome rather than on output.
  • Being comfortable with ambiguity and changes of a startup environment.
  • Proficiency with current industry design and collaboration tools such as Figma.

Your starting budgeted cash compensation for this role is between $140,000 and $201,000 USD, depending on your current skills, experience, training, and overall market demands. This salary range is subject to change, and there is always room for growth and advancement.

In addition to the wonderful people you’ll get to work with and challenging projects that’ll push you - Boulevard is here to make sure you’re always at the top of your game emotionally, mentally, and physically.

  • ✨ We’ve got you covered with a 401(k) match plus dental, medical, vision, and life insurance.

  • 🏝 Take a break whenever you need with our flexible vacation day policy.

  • 🖥 Fully remote so you can choose where you want to work. You’ll receive a work from home stipend every month.

  • 💚 Family planning resources and specialized support programs.
