We’re looking for a team-oriented Tax Staff Accountant to join our Tax Team at the biggest small brand in beverage. Responsibilities

Reporting to the Senior Tax Manager in the Finance Department, responsibilities for this position include, but may not be limited to the following:

  • Oversee timely and accurate state sales tax filings prepared by a 3rd party
  • Review and resolve state tax and regulatory notices as needed
  • Manage and maintain exemption certificates for all customers including new customer set up
  • Collaborate with AP department throughout the year to determine which vendors should receive 1099s
  • Assist as needed with various regulatory reporting and compliance
  • Collaborate with accounting department to ensure various state bottle bill compliance
  • Assist as needed and sometimes conduct tax/regulatory audits
  • Provide 3rd party preparers with income tax request lists for tax returns and tax provision calculations
  • Review Federal, State, and/or local income and sales tax returns
  • Coordinate tax payments and related journal entries with AP department
  • Perform various tax related projects and initiatives
  • Support technology implementations, overall process improvements, and other efforts to increase the efficiency of the tax compliance function
