About The Role

The Regional Buyer I is responsible for managing and executing the procurement process for assigned product categories. This role will work closely with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality products at the best value.

As the Regional Buyer I, your main duties include issuing purchase orders and the procurement from PO to delivery, monitoring category in-stock rate, managing product life cycle and inventory health. You will be closely working with the team to ensure the category performs at optimal level with healthy DOH and inventory volume.

Responsibilities

Regional Buyer I focuses primarily on ordering the best products at the right prices and right amount from vendors , as well as these other responsibilities not limited to the below:

  • Purchase goods that meet the quantity and quality expectations of the company
  • Monitor and track supplier performance and resolve any issues or disputes that may arise, such as missed delivery or product returns
  • Resolve payment issues to maintain vendor relationships.
  • Track category inventory and issue restock PO’s daily to ensure optimal stock while working closely with historical sales data and demand forecasting
  • Analyze out-of-stock products and develop contingency plans to minimize disruption to our customers
  • Demand forecast review and alignment with key vendors
  • Oversight of product expiration and spoilage prevention
  • Conduct market research and monitor industry trends to stay informed about product pricing, availability, and quality
  • Analyze promotion results in conjunction with category in-stock strategies
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including supply chain/ demand planning, marketing, and operations, to ensure that purchasing decisions are aligned with company goals and objectives
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as applicable laws and regulations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree preferred.
  • Fluent in MS Office suites, especially Excel.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are a requirement for Purchasing Specialists. They use these skills to determine their company’s product needs and to create constructive relationships with vendors.
  • Ability to plan, delegate and evaluate progress toward goals is necessary for managing these projects.
  • Deep understanding of price points and ability to negotiate effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Requires on-site work in Seattle

Compensation Range

  • The US base salary range for this full-time position is $67,724.80 - $70,000
  • This role may be eligible to discretionary bonus, incentives and benefits
  • Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location
