This role is onsite 5 days a week in Fremont, CA

About the Role

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Driver Operations Manager to oversee our independent contractor and flex driver network across multiple regions. This role is designed for someone who can enhance day-to-day delivery performance while also building scalable processes that support the company’s rapid growth. The successful candidate will lead initiatives focused on driver engagement, operational efficiency, compliance, and data-driven decision making, ensuring our driver community is equipped to deliver exceptional service in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Driver Network Management: Oversee the recruitment, onboarding, and performance of independent contractor & flex drivers across multiple regions.
  • Operational Efficiency: Develop and implement strategies to reduce costs, and improve delivery times.
  • Performance Monitoring: Establish KPIs and monitor driver performance metrics to ensure compliance with service standards.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure adherence to legal and company standards for independent contractors, mitigating risks associated with non-compliance.
  • Driver Engagement: Foster a positive relationship with the driver community through regular communication, feedback sessions, and support initiatives.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the Central Ops, Customer Service, and Legal teams to align driver operations with overall company objectives.
  • Technology Utilization: Leverage delivery management systems and data analytics tools to drive decision-making and operational improvements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in logistics or delivery operations, with at least 2 years in a managerial role overseeing independent contractors.
  • Strong understanding of last-mile delivery logistics and the gig economy model.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Excel) and delivery management software.
  • Ability to travel to different locations in the US
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate a diverse driver workforce.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Bilingual in Mandarin and English is a plus.

Compensation Range

  • The US base salary range for this full-time position is $105,000 - $123,500
  • This role may be eligible to discretionary bonus, incentives and benefits
  • Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location
