This role is onsite 5 days a week in Tampa, FL
About the role
As a Regional Buyer II, you will be responsible for planning and replenishing items based on sales history and forecasts to satisfy customer demand in the Tampa region.You will source the local’s favorite produce for our customers. You will have the opportunity to flex your negotiation and strategic planning skills to drive the growth and success of our produce category. Your job is to bring the “art” to the “science” – using your intuition and expertise fueled by data, analytics, and, above all, a passion for helping our customers get high-quality produce and live better.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Regional Merchandising Manager to define and drive purchase‑order strategies aligned with overarching business goals
- Assess inventory levels, logistics timelines, and supply chain constraints to maintain optimal product availability while minimizing stock‑out and overstock risk
- Develop & execute a forward‑looking promotional and inventory flow plan, leveraging industry seasonality, vendor supply dynamics, and market insights
- Build and nurture strategic vendor partnerships to secure improved terms, consistency in quality, and reliable service delivery; oversee vendor performance at a regional/local level
- Use deep customer insights, including preference data and trend forecasting, to source standout products that delight customers and differentiate the assortment
- Partner with warehouse operations to oversee product inspection, quality assurance, and cold‑storage protocols and ensure compliance with standards and reduce spoilage or defects
- Conduct competitive market research on assortment, pricing, and promotional strategies to identify gaps and opportunities
- Produce, present, and translate analytical reports and documentation (e.g. P&L impact, inventory projections, vendor scorecards) to senior leadership
Key Qualifications:
- 3 year+ of experience in procurement grocery, produce, or farming industry (Wholesale or Retail)
- Working knowledge of relational databases, and ERP systems
- Passion for produce and eagerness to learn more about the industry
Nice to have:
- BS/BA in Business Analytics, Supply Chain, or a related field
- Food Safety Certification

Compensation Range
- The US base salary range for this full-time position is $63,500 - $74,500
- This role may be eligible to discretionary bonus, incentives and benefits
- Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location
